A lifelong resident of Las Vegas, Chris received his formal education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While there he recorded five CDs with the highly acclaimed "UNLV Wind Orchestra" under the direction Thomas G Leslie. His primary horn teachers include Ed Jackson, Lynn Huntzinger Beck, Beth Lano and Bill Bernatis.
Chris is a former member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic with whom he has also been a soloist. In addition to the LV Phil, Chris has served as a hornist for the Nevada Chamber Orchestra, Nevada Wind Ensemble, Las Vegas Jazz Connection, and the TAD Wind Symphony of Japan.
As a top call freelancer Chris has backed countless headliners on the Las Vegas strip. Most notably - Frank Sinatra Jr., Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Peter Cetera, Peabo Bryson, Kenny G, Sheena Easton, Robert Goulet, Olivia Newton-John, Domingo, Pavarotti, Mannheim Steamroller, Yes, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Charlotte Church, David Foster ("Hit Man" live album and DVD) and a few tours with Andrea Bocelli.
As an educator Chris has performed and given master classes in every state in the US as well as 17 countries at places such as the Juilliard School, New England Conservatory, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic and the Texas Bandmasters Association to name a very few.
Chris currently holds the solo horn position with the prestigious Boston Brass, with whom he tours the world almost half the year. When not on the road with the Boston Brass, Chris can be heard in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular".
Prior to joining the Boston Brass, Chris toured for 6 years as solo horn with the Dallas Brass. |
